this is my manifesto, the reason why i did it
the press will call me evil and label me a menace
don't let the lies deceive you, they pushed me to my limit
racism's a disease, it's only right i kill it
black blood, you're quick to spill it, justified rape and pillage
hide behind your image, and terrorize my village
your life, you won't live it, your death will be horrific
a 147 grain bullet to be specific
for a decade now, i've wondered why christopher jordan dorner isn't considered an underground american icon. there should be songs in his name. graffiti. whispers between those who know. i think there are very few causes americans would consider dying for. walking around los angeles would give you not a single fucking clue we're funding a genocide and people are dying in our name. dorner, like aaron bushnell & matt nelson, saw what was happening right in front of him and saw a system so broken there was no choice but to give his life to try and change it. and it feels like no one even remembers.
after all these years, i never expected ll cool j to be the one to say his name. SPIRIT OF CYRUS is the best track i've heard all year (on, btw, the best album i've heard all year). i'm in awe of these lyrics. ll fucking cool j. q-tip. snoop. christopher dorner. fucking YES.
the story lives on.
the picture above is one from a collection of my favorite acab graffiti from all over montréal last year, primarily in hochelaga. some simple, some brilliant, some brutal, and one with the truly lovely bit of franglish "fuck you the cops" -- i miss it all. for your obliviousness and shallowness, fuck you, the los angeles.
