through fluke, happenstance, or intervention by the devil themself... somehow the most beautiful, thrilling, and emotional music released both this year and last could only be categorized as... horny vampire music.

SINNERS (winner, best horny vampire music 2025)
some friends and i have a group text chain where we review every movie we see, but i had so many thoughts swirling around my brain after SINNERS all i could do was throw down my four stars and the martin scorsese "ABSOLUTE CINEMA" gif. since words felt insufficient to express the SINNERS experience, all i could think to do was track down a bootleg, incomplete, cam-recorded stream of the film that very night and put together a playlist combining the score and soundtrack into chronological order and tell the complete story of the film musically. and when i saw those good quality SINNERS gifs suddenly appear all over my tumblr dash last night, i knew the movie proper had leaked. today i verified the running order of my playlist and made some final tweaks and knew it was ready to share.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (winner, best horny vampire music 2022, 2024)
much like with SINNERS, for this playlist i combined the scores from INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE seasons one and two into chronological order. in this case, i removed or replaced certain vocal or extraneous tracks (sorry to the THEATRE DES VAMPIRES) and repeated others, creating what i felt best represented the emotional arcs of louis, claudia, lestat, armand, and daniel throughout this one epic story.

please enjoy, and thank you for hearing my case. the case, again, for horny vampire music. we can only hope and pray, perhaps to that duplicitous and delightful devil themself, for someone to pick up and carry the torch for horny vampire music into 2026 and beyond.
